IHI
In 1987 an agreement was signed with IHI Construction Machinery Ltd., division of the Japanese industrial conglomerate IHI - Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries, international leader in the production of industrial and construction machinery, chemical plants, power stations, aero-spatial motorisation development, bridge and viaduct construction. The agreement allowed IMER to enter the construction equipment sector, at first for distribution of IHI mini excavators in Italy and France, and since 1989, also for construction of some models of the IHI mini excavators range to be distributed on the European market. In 2002 the partnership was consolidated and the new joint venture IHIMER S.p.A. was formed to implement and further develop the production and sales of the mini excavators, skid-steer loaders, and mini dumpers.

Mustang
In 1985 IMER signed a partnership agreement with Mustang Manufacturing Company Inc., North American leader in the production of skid-steer loaders.
The agreement gave to IMER Group the exclusive Italian distribution rights for Mustang products, which nowadays are marketed directly by IHIMER, the construction equipment division of IMER Group.

Mikasa
In 1987 the Company reached an agreement with MIKASA Sangyo Co. Ltd., a Japanese Company specialised in compacting machinery (vibrating plate compactors, vibro-compacting machines, vibrating rollers).
The agreement allowed to IMER Group the exclusive distributorship of Mikasa products in Italy, France and Spain.
